PROYECTO BRIT: THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING WORLD
En Febrero y Marzo, alumnos y profesores de 1º y 2º BRIT hemos realizado un proyecto cooperativo de las 4 materias del programa titulado THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING WORLD (EL MUNDO DE HABLA INGLESA).
Los alumnos han llevado a cabo una búsqueda de información y han realizado exposiciones orales en clase por grupos utilizando imágenes proyectadas en la pizarra digital. También han realizado posters con la información encontrada para conformar un mural-exposición que se expone estos días en el vestíbulo del centro. Los profesores del BRIT hemos realizado el montaje del mural. Finalmente, por cursos y en grupos reducidos, los alumnos están visitando el mural-exposición para obtener una visión final del mismo.
Desde el equipo docente BRIT queremos felicitar a los alumnos por el gran trabajo realizado y agradecer la participación de todos aquellos que habéis tenido que ver con este proyecto.

BRIT PROJECT: THE ENGLISH SPEAKING WORLD
In February and March, BRIT students and teachers from years 1 and 2 of ESO have carried out a collaborative project involving the 4 areas in the programme titled THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING WORLD. The goals of this project have been:
to study social and cultural aspects from 6 English-speaking countries: national symbols, flags, political leaders, national festivities, celebrities, fauna, food, music, artistic trends, sports and sportspeople, population and weather.
to foster a positive, open-minded attitude when looking up websites and other resources in English to know the customs and culture in English-speaking countries.
to get to know social, cultural, geographic, historical, artistic and sportive features of the English language.
Students browsed the web to get information and presented it orally in English in class in small groups. In addition, they created posters to build a mural-exhibition which is being displayed at the school hall these days. The BRIT teachers have set the mural. Finally, in small groups, students are visiting the exhibition to get an overall view of the whole project.
From the Brit teaching staff we would like to congratulate the students who have participated on the project for their fantastic work and thank everyone who has helped to carry it out.
